I would like to share with you all my most recent animated sheet music video. Poppy Petal Rag is one of my favorite rags I made, so bubbly and fun! It is the 4th ragtime style song I made. Like several of my other rags, it does not follow traditional ragtime meter form.
The animation was done by Rafaella Angelica Nepales, one of my friends and a great animator! Hope you all enjoy! Please watch and share!
Today I had the opportunity to meet William Goldstein. Composer of the Twilight Zone and many other TV series and films. He was really intrigued by my name tag at work as it has music notes around my name! He told me to email him today! Such a wonderful day at work!

Best Short Films Competition in San Diego granted the film an award of Merit under the category of Animation. The short Film has one 3 awards now: Best Animation and Best Original Music. I decided to share a selfie for Sunday today with you all. Things have been going well. My short film “Abbie’s Egg” has now won 3 awards from 2 different festivals and progress has been made on my next shorts. In the meantime, I have had the opportunity to work on several photo shoots and get several free outfits for wearing them. I will be sharing the pictures of them when the photographer has finished editing. Its a lot of work and things to do but I have to stay focused! Hope everyone is doing the same! Keep it up!

So I am trying to think of the projects I have worked on since I last posted. And the last photo shoot I posted was an older one. I have done several shoots since then but I haven’t uploaded them yet for everyone so forgive that I sorta disappeared off the face of the earth for a bit. One of the projects that I have been focused on lately was an animation project which I never shared with everyone. Below is a link the project.

This animation was completed several months ago with animator Justain Marchett. We came up with the idea from little drawings I did while working at a regular job. Haha! So even little doo-dads and sketches and drawings can always be considered something creative and usual for those doodle and sketch and draw.
 The song idea was never entirely finished when I first started composing the piece. The song was started around 11 or 12 years old. It was just an idea, a thought and it was supposed to be more like a orchestral fantasy of some sort, possibly a movement to a symphony. The idea I never fully developed and the style did not exactly develop when I first started making it. Being the very distracted individual that I am, always new songs and ideas come my way and thoughts and then I forget about finishing the songs and projects I started.
When my interest came to animation, I thought of this song as the theme was quick and simple. I wasn’t exactly set on using Squiggly Monsters as the theme for the song, but my ideas for a romantic fantasy wasn’t as fun to me anymore. I also wanted people to find the video somewhat interesting, even though the whole idea seems to capture the minds of those who see something slightly inappropriate. But the part I am most excited about is that this animation has inspired a mobile app. Its in progress right now but it will be a game! I am so excited to work on it. I will also be providing the music which so far has 11 tracks assigned to it.
I am really excited about the app and can’t wait to see what will happen with it!
I came across an artist on Instagram and tumblr a few months back and actually drew an amazing picture that resembles me completely! I was amazed at how accurate he was at depicting everything and really bringing out my personality through his artwork!

I love facial hair! And its been a struggle even now to grow any of it out as its not thick enough… until recently! Its still not very lumberjack thick or bear hairy but its scruffy enough to pass! I am very proud of myself that I managed to make it grow this long! I present to you my facial hair so far! 
This is me with my facial as its best so far! I am very proud of myself that its managed to look this good! Only a matter time of time before I can grow a full beard! Amy Roiland took the picture on a rainy day here in Studio City.
The button down gray shirt that I am wearing is designed by Eighty Eight. Its one of my favorite shirts to wear and has a very upscale look. . The pants are made by Patroncito, I got them in Downtown Los Angeles in Santee Alley. Its a popular location in the fashion district to find quality clothing at an affordable price. The shoes I have feature before on a previous blog. Alejandro Ingelmo Shoes. I came across these shoes in a store in the Beverly Center.
The store is called Politix. I fell in love with them when I came across them and have wear them often. I even took them with me to my recent trip to San Francisco, CA. I am also going to feature them on several upcoming blogs.

This shoot was taken by @AFashionNerd, aka, Amy Roiland. She is a fashion blogger who after taking various photos of her inspired me to feature the clothing I like to wear. The clothing in this shoot I will mention every article of clothing I have on… visible.
We shot this in Franklin Canyon. Its a nice place to walk and run, maybe walk the dog. Many locals of Studio City and Beverly Hills who live in the hill or around the area come up to hike and walk here. The scenery is beautiful and there are a lot of paths to take.
We shot this in the evening so the sun was just setting but the trees provided enough shade to keep the bright sun from hitting us. The clothing I wore for this shoot are some of my favorites. I have already featured the shoes and even the shirt in other outfits I have worn.
We’ll start with the shirt and necklace. The shirt I purchased in Hollywood on the strip, east of Highland Ave. It was one of those touristy stores that had souvenirs and clothing. I wasn’t planning on buying anything in particular when I went. I just remember going to New York City several months ago and feeling like I wanted to be a “tourist” the most recent time I went, I wanted to feel like a tourist for an hour or so in Hollywood. While passing the stores, I saw this one place that was selling shirts for an affordable price and I came across this shirt that had a skyline view of downtown Los Angeles, CA. For those of you who already know me, I love the color gray, and having a white shirt with a gray background on it caught my attention, and even better, one of my favorite cities which happens to be the city I live in. I had to make the shirt mine so I bought it.
The necklace, well I can’t really help anyone to locate cause it was given to me by one of the first contacts I made in Los Angeles. The funny part is that even he doesn’t know where he got it.
The shorts I got from a Pacsun store in “The Grove” shopping center. The shorts are meant to be swim trunks so they are’t designed to have pockets. There is one pocket but its not a big pocket to carry say a big wallet full of cash. The shorts are very comfortable I will note. For me, I know its not in style but I prefer looser clothing just because I feel less constricted and my lower extremities can breathe a bit. I know styles nowadays prefer tight fit and I am getting use to them. I still like loose fit.
 I can’t forget to mention the shoes as they are still one of my favorite pairs I have worn. They are very soft and comfortable inside and make great to wear around all day. I feel like I am walking on clouds when I wear these shoes and their look is so chic! Until next time I post everyone =) |
